What is Lipo-sculpture?
Lipo-sculpture is the use of a combination of conventional lipo-suction and lipo-selection. "Lipo-Selection” is a new and very different way to precisely and efficiently remove unwanted fat. An alternative to traditional liposuction, LipoSelection uses state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to reshape your body by first liquefying and then removing excess fat from the body, which is why it provides such smooth, predictable results. Since it is more tissue selective than traditional liposuction, patients report low to minimal pain and low to minimal swelling and bruising.

This is very much a matter of personal taste. Lipo-suction is OK for areas with conventional cellulite. Lyposculpture is very effective when treating delicate and small areas and in particular areas with fibrous fat where Lipo-suction would be more difficult such as upper arms and male breast reduction.

Yes. During puberty, the body produces fat cells. However, in adulthood this production stops. These cells swell due to bad eating habits. Dieting causes the cells to decrease in size while lipo-sculpture completely eliminates the fat cells. After lipo-sculpture the body does not make new fat cells at the treated site.
Sagging stomach muscles often caused by pregnancy can be endoscopically surgically corrected. The stomach muscles may be stitched back in place or tightened and the waist is made narrower through a small incision in the navel and/or the groin area. This surgery is often combined with Soft Jet Lip-Sculpture, which eliminates local fat in the area of the stomach.
Lipo-sculpture originated from the lipo-suction technique where fat was
removed with large curettes under high vacuum. This frequently led to unsatisfactory results.
Modern lipo-sculpture, also known as Soft Jet lipo-sculpture, utilizes the tumescence infiltration
method: a large quantity of serum is injected into the fat being treated. This not only
has a numbing effect on the area, but also stems the blood flow. The surgeon is thus able
to use finer suction needles and fat is removed under low vacuum.
Bruising, if it occurs, normally
disappears within two weeks. The chance for irregularity is considerably reduced. There
is also no blood loss. Because unnecessary risks are drastically reduced, the surgeon is
able to work more efficiently, allowing removal of larger amounts of fat with more uniformity.
In general, lipo-sculpture can take place wherever excess fat is found.
Ideal areas for liposuction are:

The most commonly treated areas are the neck, upper arms, armpit rolls, hips, thighs, love handles, knees, and stomach area. Fat balls such as lipoma can also be handled
Yes. Every Lipo-sculpture undergone at the Clinic is performed by the plastic surgeon in a state of the art operating room equipped with laminar air flow.
If you have an accumulation of fat in the stomach region and the skin is
still elastic, then Lipo-sculpture is perfect for obtaining a flat stomach.
Sometimes, the muscles of the stomach are also slack. During the same surgery these muscles
can be tightened. A small 1-2cm scar is hidden between the pubic hair and the navel. With
the same method, the surgeon is also able to make the waist narrower without leaving a visible
scar.
If your skin has lost its elasticity, a tummy tuck may be necessary. Excess skin is then
eliminated in lieu of a scar. The muscles can also be tightened at the same time.
The incisions are so small that scarring is negligible.
The degree of discomfort after the surgery varies between individuals. Most patients experience a minimum amount of discomfort after a lipo-sculpture. The special anaesthetic used during surgery lasts for one full day. Following surgery, the muscles and tissues may feel rather stiff. Supportive garments are worn for a period of between ten days to six weeks. The duration varies depending on the individual case.
A few days of relaxation are ideal, although many patients continue with
their daily routine the day after surgery. Keep in mind that light activity is recommended.
Full mobility returns after a few days. Swimming is possible after 5 days, while most other
sports are possible after two weeks.
Yes. Fat can be removed and then transplanted into areas where it is needed. Sometimes, the body contour is improved by not only removing excess fat, but also by transplanting it into areas where it is needed such as dimples or skin creases.
Permanent removal of excessive fat tissue is a common procedure in cosmetic surgery. The procedure has become very popular thanks to lipo-sculpture's reliability, safety, and fast recovery time.
The procedure is not used for general weight reduction. If the patient is
overweight, we recommend a supervised weight reduction program or, if the candidate is excessively
overweight, obesity surgery is suggested. Any candidate for Lipo-sculpture should have a
stable weight condition. Their weight should be stable for 6 months before treatment.
The accumulation of fluid “lymfoedema tarda” is often the cause of puffy legs.
If a patient suffers from this condition, lipo-sculpture has little effect. Fluid accumulation
is not affected by Lipo-sculpture.

There are several different types of thigh lifts that target certain areas
for specific results. During your consultation, the surgeon will discuss treatment options
and results you may expect.
Thigh lift surgery will help you to achieve firmer, shaplier, more attractive-looking upper
legs. Especially helpful for those who have loose, excess skin as a result of weight loss,
thigh lift, or thighplasty, can help tone and redefine the legs.
Inner Thigh Lift
An inner thigh lift targets the inner thigh. This type of thigh lift helps people who have
trouble eliminating excess fat from this area of the body through diet and exercise. An
inner thigh lift may also be used to treat reduced skin elasticity caused by the aging process
or extreme weight loss. During an inner thigh lift, an incision is made at the junction
of the thigh and pubic area. A wedge of skin, and possibly fat, is then removed and the
skin in tightened to provide an improved leg contour.
Bilateral Thigh Lift
The bilateral thigh lift procedure is designed to tighten skin on the front and outside
of the leg. During a bilateral thigh lift, the surgeon makes an incision at the top of the
leg where the lower edge of a bikini bottom or pair of underwear would be. A certain amount
of skin is then removed before the surgeon pulls the remaining skin up and attaches it to
the same area. In this way, a bilateral thigh lift serves to tighten skin along both the
right and left side of the leg. This procedure is especially helpful to those who have excess
skin after an extreme weight loss.
Medial Thigh Lift
A medial thigh lift reduces excess skin and fat on the upper portion of the inner thigh.
It is designed for patients who are dissatisfied with the shape of their legs or who would
like to remove excess skin after an extreme weight loss. An incision is made in the groin
that goes to the back of the crease of the buttock. Skin in then lifted and excess skin
and fat are removed to improve the shape of the leg and tighten the skin.
Will a Thigh Lift Leave Visible Scars?
Thigh lifts do leave scars. These scars are usually located in an inconspicuous location.
In many cases, thigh lift scars are easily concealed by underwear or bathing suits. If you
are considering thigh lift surgery but fear the prospect of scars, discuss this with the
surgeon to see what option are avilable.
Scars are an unfortunate aspect of thigh lift surgery that patients must weigh against the
benefits of eliminating excess fat and skin tissue.

An arm lift (brachioplasty) reshapes the under portion of the upper arm, from the underarm region to the elbow. The procedure will redifine the shape of teh arm by removing excess fat and sagging skin as well as tightening and smoothing the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper arm.

This procedure redefines the neck removing fat and excess skin as well as
in some cases tightening teh neck muscles to create a sharper apearance.
The procedure involves making a small incision under the chin, sometimes also in front or
behind the ears. The neck muscles are tightened and any excess fat removed. The surgeon may
choose to remove the fat by liposuction. Very often this surgery is done in conjunction
with other facial surgeries.

Surplus skin can be removed during a tummy tuck in exchange for a scar placed
in an inconspicuous area ...
Commonly, after weight loss or pregnancy, the stomach area can be left bulging an unsightly
with excessive fat and skin. As we age gravity takes its toll and weight of the excess skin
and fat causes the stomach to droop. This effect can be exaggerated by the effects of pregnancy
which weakened or even tears the muscles that holds this area firm and in position.
An abdominoplasty procedure is often the answer. there are different types of procedure
and with a full abdominoplasty the candidate can choose to have torn or weakened stomach
muscles repaired or stitched back in place lifting and firming the area. This technique
combined with removal of the excess fat and skin on the tummy and Lipo-Suction to the edges
can give a smooth flat stomach back to the candidate.

Mini Tummy Tuck
|
Scars are placed in areas where they are the least noticeable. The scar, which accompanies a tummy tuck, is hidden in the pubic area and extends to the groin.
One day of hospitalisation is required following surgery. Drainage tubes are removed after a few days; and the sutures are removed approximately twelve days after the procedure. It is advisable to resume light activity within comfortable limits as soon as possible. A support garment is required for a few weeks after the surgery. Depending upon the extent of the surgery, normal daily activity can be resumed in two to six weeks.
As with all scars, within the first three months they are red and lumpy. In a year, they will fade considerably. This maturing process can be accelerated with a special highly concentrated scar improving oil.
How Long does the Surgery Take?
For a mini tummy tuck, the surgery takes approximately 1-2 hours; the full tummy tuck takes
around 3-4 hours.
With a mini Tummy Tuck, the surgeon works below the navel, which means
that there will not be a scar around the navel. The straight abdominal muscles can be brought
together. A small bag of skin can also be removed. This procedure is ideal for excess skin
beneath the navel and for abdominal muscle problems also situated beneath the navel.
In case of excess skin and abdominal muscle problems above the navel, a full Abdominoplasty
is recommended. The scar would be underneath the stomach but also around the navel, where
it would stay red for a longer period of time but will fade away after complete healing.
What Complications could arise
after a Tummy Tuck?
After surgery, there is often a little swelling of the skin around the scar. This is temporary
and will disappear after recovery of the Lymphatic system. In case the muscles on your stomach
have been stitched, you need to wear a stomach garment for four to six weeks. Smoking, diabetes
and obesity heighten the risk of healing problems.
Yes the Clinic will supply you with the necessary garments.
