Follicular Unit Micrografting
The state of the art procedure for nearly all individuals
Transplanting of follicular unit micrografts is the
most commonly chosen hair restoration procedure. This technique results
in hairlines that both look and function naturally, with minimal interference
in lifestyle. Hair grafting has been performed for more than 30 years,
but it is only in the past five years that technological advancements,
as well as a greater appreciation of hairline aesthetics, have made the
results of this procedure virtually undetectable.

Megasession Follicular Unit Micrografting
The fastest way to attaining significant hair coverage
The megasession is the most modern way to achieving the growth of a full head of hair, in the shortest period of time. In a megasession, up to 3000 follicular-unit micrografts can be transplanted in a single procedure lasting five to six hours. These follicular units, containing one to three, occasionally four hairs apiece (the natural grouping of hairs), are transplanted in a natural pattern throughout the scalp, providing coverage of most to all bald areas. As with other hair transplant procedures, most regular activities can be resumed the next day, and growth of the hairs occurs in as soon as two months. Some patients will have a second procedure performed to provide further hair density.

For Women
Treating female pattern hair loss and procedures for repairing the distortion and scarring from prior facial plastic surgery
For women, the losing of hair is often very distressing. Most cases of hair loss in women are due to inherited female pattern balding, but medical conditions can also be involved, such as low thyroid levels, hormonal imbalances such as elevated testosterone, binge dieting, and pregnancy. Another cause of hair loss in women is the distortion of hair growth and scarring as a result of prior facial plastic surgery. Most of these conditions are treatable, giving women some options where, just 5 years ago, hair transplantation would not have been an option. Even today, most doctors performing hair transplantation do not offer this procedure to women, because of the additional challenges and required experience. As with men, the procedure of choice in women is usually follicular unit grafting, but with certain modifications.

Reparative Procedures
Repairing the undesirable results from prior hair transplant procedures
Many patients come to us to repair previous, inferior quality hair restoration. Our doctors have developed a particular expertise in this area. While most patients can expect a dramatic improvement in appearance, the revision work entails additional expense, procedures, and time and the use of additional hairs.

Bald Scalp Reduction Repair and Scalp Flap Surgery Repair
We are experienced in repairing the scarring from these procedures
Bald scalp reductions involve the removal of bald scalp from the crown and top of the head. In a single procedure, as much as 5 centimeters (almost 2 inches) in width can be removed, resulting in a rapid reduction in the size of the bald area. Scalp reductions do not treat hair loss in the front of the scalp, and follicular micrografting can be performed simultaneously or subsequently to create a hairline, to further fill in the remaining areas of baldness, and sometimes right along the healed scalp reduction incisions.
Like bald scalp reductions, scalp flap surgery is
rarely performed today, due to the superiority of follicular unit grafting.
In scalp flap surgery, as many as 10,000 hairs are transplanted in a single
procedure. The scalp flap is unique in its ability to create the densest
hairline possible, in the shortest period of time. Unlike with hair grafting,
the hair in a scalp flap begins to grow immediately. As with all other
transplantation techniques, the hair continues to grow for a lifetime.
