The Hospital is staffed by 40 physicians and surgeons
and another 420 employees mainly nursing staff and acute and theatre
staff. Each physician is specialist trained in one of the primary
medical disciplines: anaesthesiology, general surgery, vascular
surgery; ear, nose & throat, gynaecology & obstetrics; ophthalmology;
oral & facial surgery, orthopaedics hip,spine knee, foot &
ankle, hand & wrist, urology, dermatology, internal medicine,
primary care, cardiology, gastro enterology, geriatrics, pulmonology,
rheumatology, pathology, paediatrics, psychiatry and radiology.
The hospital has six operating theatres equipped with the newest
technology. The emergency department and the 8-bed intensive care
facility are staffed 24 hours a day with on site resident cover.
The hospital has a 24 hour accident and emergency unit as well as
paramedic response unit.The hospital has its own state of the art
laboratory. The physiotherapy department has ten full time physiotherapists
under the control of the head physiologist, sports traumatologist
and doctor in medicine.
Nursing staff are dedicated to providing quality service and patient
care. Their mission is at all times to provide their full commitment
and excellence in caring for guests. In addition to the physicians
and nurses attending to the patients your needs, the Hospital offers
physical rehabilitation services. Also a state-of-the-art laboratory
and radiology department is available on site.

The Hospital places a strong emphasis on cleanliness
and the quality of its food. All meals are prepared on site and
the menu changes daily. Family and friends there is a modern canteen/cafe
facility where hot meals are prepared and served daily.
The hospital has a hairdresser and even a massage available for
friends and family staying there.
During your stay you will be cared for
by a number of physicians, nurses and allied professionals who feel
that it is their responsibility to help you feel as welcome, content
and comfortable as possible.
Patient
Accommodation at St Rembert's Hospital
Hospital accommodation varies depending on the medical
procedure undertaken and whether you choose to be in a shared or
single room. Usually, there are two people to a room, but for a
supplement, single rooms are available.
Hospital rooms are equipped with a private toilet, separate wash
basin, closet, TV and bedside phone. Meals are served in the room,
but there are restaurant facilities available should you prefer
a wider choice.
In general before you medical procedure is undertaken and during
pre surgery checks, consultations and clinical work up, you will
be able to relax in the comfort and privacy of the family B&B
accommodation unit. On the day of surgery you will be admitted to
one of the twin bedded hospital rooms, where you will be returned
after your spell in the recovery area in ICU following your surgery.
Once you are feeling better, you may if you prefer, be returned
to the privacy of the family B&B accommodation unit where you
may stay with anyone accompanying you.
