Who are we?

Formed in Nov 2004 DHI started trading in March 2005.

Direct Healthcare International was formed to meet a demand for low cost surgery using hospitals, primarily in Belgium, where the surgical standards are second to none. With this aim in mind we sought to use surgeons that we knew by reputation, CV history, and surgical history. These surgeons in order to qualify to be accepted by Direct Healthcare International Limited need to demonstrate a proven track record and in addition carry out a minimum of 250 surgeries a year in their discipline. This we felt sure were criteria that would find excellent experienced tried and tested surgeon and indeed have proved so.

Direct Healthcare International Limited pride ourselves on providing a quality service from the point of departure (airport train station, home pickup) to the hospital through recovery and back home, the client is entirely in our hands. Our corporate philosophy of listening to clients following up and taking direct action on all complaints means that we have evolved to being a well ordered, smooth running organisation with the experience of thousands of successful out comes and happy clients. Today thankfully complaints are very rare. A recent survey said 95% of clients were entirely satisfied and 98% of clients would use Direct Healthcare International Limited again.

DHI have been the subject of two TV documentaries one on PRO Sieben network covering 186 million viewers across Germany and Europe another 5 part documentary was aired on Meridian TV and can be seen on the index page of the www.quality-gastric-bypass.com website. ITV’s “Tonight” program by Trevor MacDonald featured the company (also see the website). Discovery Channel, Sky 1, Fox Global and Irelands TV3 and Irelands RTE1
